About our classes*

Dulin Cooperative Preschool offers part-time classes for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-old children. Children must reach the appropriate age by September 30 of the school year. For example, a child eligible for our 2-year-old classes for 2009-10 must reach his or her second birthday by September 30, 2009.

We do NOT offer drop-in, full-time or after-care, and our class schedules are set (i.e., your child attends class when scheduled, not according to the days you prefer).

Our school year typically begins the week after Falls Church City and Fairfax County public schools begin, and ends just before Memorial Day. Outside of an optional "summer camp" in June for 3- and 4-year-olds, Dulin Cooperative Preschool does not meet during the summer.

2s: We offer two classes for 2-year-olds, the AM2s and PM2s.

• AM2s meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-noon
• PM2s meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30-3 p.m.
• Children do NOT need to be potty-trained for our 2s classes.
• Tuition for both the AM and PM classes is $99/month

3s: We offer two classes for 3-year-olds, the 3s and Mixed 3/4s

• The 3s class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30-noon. This class is typically for children who have spring and summer birthdays. Tuition: $146/month
• The 3/4s class is a mixed class of younger 4-year-olds and older 3-year-olds (with birthdays soon after the cut-off date of September 30, usually between October and February). The class meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:30-noon. Tuition: $188/month

4s: We offer two classes for 4-year-olds, the 4s and the Mixed 3/4s.

• The 4s class meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:30-noon. This class is typically for children on the older side of 4, with birthdays between October and February. Tuition: $188/month
• The 3/4s class is a mixed class of younger 4-year-olds (usually with spring or summer birthdays) and older 3-year-olds. 4-year-olds in the mixed class typically go straight to kindergarten from the 3/4s, but for families desiring a "bonus" year of preschool, 3/4 children may attend the 4s class the following year as a 5-year-old. Tuition: $188/month.

We offer two extended-day options:

• Lunch Bunch (Mondays, noon-1:30 p.m.) is an opportunity for our 3s and 4s from different classes to come together, socialize, and enjoy an extra 1 1/2 hours of play along with a lunch brought from home. Sign-up is typically two weeks in advance, on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost for each Lunch Bunch session is $7.
• Enrichment (Thursdays, noon-2:30 p.m.) is an optional pre-kindergarten session for four-year-olds in our 3/4s and 4s classes. Enrichment allows pre-kindergarteners to explore skills and activities that will prepare them for the following year.
